Pre-Trip Checklist



-All anglers 16 years and older will need a fishing license.  The license is called an Inland Fishing (basic).  There is a ten day license and an annual license avaliable also .  There is also a Resident and Non-Resident license depending on where you reside.  You can also go into Deep Creek Outfitters in Fayetteville at 1122 Person St, or A.K. McCallum at 715 Ramsey St. in Fayetteville, or on your mobile device download the GoOutdoorsNC app. or click the link,  www.gooutdoorsnorthcarolina.com/ . YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR HAVING THE PROPER LICENSE BEFORE THE TRIP.

-We will provide all fishing equipment and life jackets.  All children 12 and under will be required to wear the life jacket at all times.  Adults do not need to wear one, if you feel that you do, please bring one that fits properly and is comfortable.   

-You can bring anything you would like to eat and/or drink on the boat.  This includes alcoholic beverages.  If anyone in the group appears to be intoxicated and the Captain feels it is a safety concern, the Captain will return to the dock at that time.  There is plenty of room for coolers, bags, etc. Dry storage for phone(s) wallets keys etc. is available. We usually have bottled water on the boat for your convenience as well.  We don't usually have ice so bring it if you want to keep your food cold. We will transfer the ice from your cooler to the one on the boat.

-Please Check the weather before your trip.  You are responsible for rain gear, sunglasses, sunscreen or anything else to keep you comfortable on the boat.  Our Captain will fish and do other activities in the rain but not if there is lightening or thunder we will return to the dock for the safety and well being of our crew and clients.  Refer to cancellation policy.

- If you or anyone in your party gets motion sick please take Dramamine. Follow the instructions on the bottle word for word. Refer to cancellation policy number 6.

-If you or anyone coming aboard has any medical history please advise the Captain before boarding the vessel so that we can be prepared in the event of a medical emergency.  Examples to include but not limited to, Allergies to bee stings, diabetes, respiratory problems. Your Captain is Trained in Emergency Medical Care. If you have any medications, EpiPen(s), etc. please bring them with you and let the Captain know so he can store them where they will not be damaged or get exposed to water. Pull the Captain aside and talk to him about any medical issues that you feel no one else needs to know about. We only share medical conditions to the proper Emergency Personnel in the event of an emergency. If any special accommodations are needed for a member of the group please feel free to call and ask. 

-If weather appears to be an issue, we will contact you a day or two before the trip. Or if anything on your end comes up please let us know IMMEDIATLEY!

-You may hear from your Captain after the initial confirmation but you may contact us however, to confirm closer to our trip.

-If you're going to keep fish to take home, please bring a cooler and ice with you and leave it in your vehicle.  We will transfer the fish after the trip is over.  WE USUALLY DON'T clean the fish so make sure you plan accordingly. There may be an additional charge for cleaning fish. 

-We do require a $100.00 deposit. Please let us know IMMEDIATLEY  if plans change so that we can re-book the date. We will touch base with you to go over the details of the trip with you, but we do get busy so please keep that in mind.

-The remaining balance after the initial deposit is due at the end of the trip and can be made with Cash, Check, or Credit Card. 

-Tip your Captain and Mate. Tips are generally 10- 20% of the trip cost. However we do not expect them but they are most DEFINITELY appreciated.
